The documentary tells the story of NASA’s Voyager space program. It’s a big, ambitious project rooted in 1972 five years before the first inquiry in space.
The aim was to gather scientific information about Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune: unknown and undiscovered planets at that time. To do this, they launched two surveys, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, with a difference of nine months. Despite limited technology compared to today’s advanced microprocessors, they could successfully acquire images and other data from the planets. After the Sondas completed their missions, they continued to travel further, so that the solar system became the first man-made objects to leave our system.
