Sam Elliot’s knife mouth, southern draw and deep sound make him an archetype in the Western film world. Unfortunately, there was less opportunity as a result in his real life career, so it is not hard to imagine seeing Lee Hayden, who was founded in the past 40 years in the West. This movie theme is remarkably similar to another aging actor, Dog Years (Burt Reynolds, starring Dog Years); Tone is very different. In The Hero, we do not see Lee in his youth, nor are he seen as such.
The impressions are much closer to realism (as long as you take the stunning Laura Prepon to a man who is more than twice as old as you are). He finds a time of relentless contact, cruel time in the ocean’s dreams, and builds him as his inevitable enemy.
